PETER WELCOMES ELIZABETH TRUSS TO SOUTH WEST NORFOLK...

SOUTH WEST NORFOLK, 17 November 2009: Peter Smith, Labour’s Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for South West Norfolk today welcomed Elizabeth Truss to the constituency. Peter met with Ms Truss at the BBC Radio Norfolk ‘Ten Town Tour’ in Swaffham today. He promised that his campaign for the next general election would focus entirely on the issues and policies concerning South West Norfolk.

Peter, the local candidate, lives in the constituency and has lived in Norfolk for the past thirty two years.

Peter said:

“There are a large number of issues concerning local residents. Generations of my family have their roots firmly placed in the county. This is a very large and diverse constituency. As candidates we owe it to the people of South West Norfolk to have a healthy and informed debate on the issues which most affect their lives.”

“It is my view that local knowledge can only be acquired over extended time. It can not be done
overnight”
